Epitalon (also spelled Epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on a sequence isolated from bovine pineal extract. Research interest centers on its reported effects on telomerase activity, telomere length, and biomarkers of biological age. Under FDA review.
How it works

Epitalon has been reported in cell culture and animal studies to upregulate telomerase activity and influence pineal-axis biology. The mechanistic story is preliminary; the human clinical evidence base is small and largely from Russian research.

Epitalon was developed in the 1990s by Russian researchers. Most published work originates from a small number of research groups; independent replication in mainstream Western journals is limited. Cannot currently be compounded under 503A.
